On Thursday, July 29th at 6pm, join the Orlando chapter of the Water For People organization for their annual fundraising event, “Wine For Us”, at the Orange County Regional History Center. The goal of the event is to raise awareness and support for drinking water and sanitation in developing countries.
Come out to meet your fellow Orlando residents, young professionals, business leaders and local government officials over stimulating conversation, delicious hors d’oeuvres and fine wines! Wine-pairings with artisan wines from Africa and South America will complement an assortment of hors d’oeuvres picked for the occasion. Special displays will present the work and impact of Water For People while participants mingle and explore the lovely Orange County Regional History Center.
Tickets for the Wine For Us event are $35 with 100% of donations and sponsorships going directly to the efforts of Water For People. Due to insufficient water and sanitation resources, women and children in developing countries are prevented from attending school and fully participating in their community. Water For People has developed a proven model of community involvement, local participation and training to implement culturally-sensitive and technically-sustainable solutions to the water/sanitation needs in communities around the world, striving towards social equality and justice. This philanthropic event at the Orange County Regional History Center is located just two blocks away from The VUE at Lake Eola. The VUE is a luxury condo in Downtown Orlando that gives residents convenient access to all the activities the city has to offer.
