Happy Summer Solstice in Downtown Orlando!

Happy Summer Solstice! Today, June 21st, is the day with the longest hours of daylight in the year and the first official day of summer! For many of us, this long-anticipated time of year represents fireworks, ice cream, trips to the beach and more. So celebrate in the summer with farm fresh produce from the Downtown Orlando Farmer’s Market. The market takes place at Lake Eola Park every Sunday from 10am to 4pm and features a new Wine & Beer Garden!

The event is dog-friendly, so bring your friends and pets to enjoy a beautiful afternoon with live music and an outdoor dining area – picnic in the park! The Orlando Farmer’s Market supports community and arts programs each week.

The Farmers’ Market was started by the Downtown Development Board in 1987 to provide a shopping opportunity for residents who lived in the Downtown area. Now located in the centralized area of Lake Eola, the farmers’ market is a great success with residents, offering a selection of tropical plants, herbs, produce, honey, jewelry, paintings, pottery, candles, soaps, gourmet food and beverages!

Nothing says summer like farm fresh tomatoes, corn and other local Florida fruits and vegetables. Residents of The VUE at Lake Eola are lucky to be at the center of the events. Located on the corner of Rosalind Avenue and Robinson Street, the VUE Lake Eola is at the heart of the action. Residents can walk from the Lake Eola condos to the Orlando Farmer’s Market, enjoy a concert at the music stadium and a number of events throughout the year located at beautiful Lake Eola.
