Farmer’s Market Festivals Are In Season for Orlando Residents

Spring is upon us, and the rain brings fresh locally-grown organic produce to farmer’s markets in Central Florida. There’s never a better time to eat healthy, sustainable foods and to find out where your groceries come from. Here are two upcoming farmer’s market festivals!

The Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando presents the Farmer’s Market Dining Experience on April 16. Talk to local farmers and ask questions while you sample fresh and flavorful dishes prepared by resort chefs.  Local seafood farmer Wild Ocean Market will provide ingredients for dishes like Old Bay Poached Port Canaveral Rock Shrimp, Apalachicola Oysters and Steamed Middleneck Clams. Enjoy grass-fed beef sliders courtesy of Deep Creek Livestock, and even a hydroponic greens station chock full of garden-fresh tomatoes, onions, carrots and strawberries grown at Hearts of Christmas Farms. The gourmet menu consists of locally-grown produce in an all-you-can-eat Farmer’s Market dinner setting.

On April 21, the 25th Annual Taste of Winter Park event at the Winter Park Farmer’s Market will feature food and drink from over 30 fine restaurants in and around Orlando. Enjoy live entertainment and all-you-can-eat gourmet fare.

Centrally located between both festivals is downtown Orlando, less than 15 minutes away. The VUE at Lake Eola is in the heart of downtown Orlando. The 36-story luxury condo high-rise gives residents the best of both worlds; living downtown and enjoying the abundance of locally-sourced healthy foods. VUE Lake Eola provides a true sense of community with the unique experience of living in an urban backdrop.
