Downtown Orlando Small Businesses to Benefit from “Entrepreneur Zone”

In light of the weakened economy’s layoffs creating empty office spaces, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer is heading a movement to create a boon for small independent businesses in the downtown Orlando office buildings.

“Entrepreneur Zone” is a new program Dyer and Stirling Sotheby’s International Realty debuted, with an aim to fill in vacant office space from downsized businesses.

Connecting small businesses and startups with larger and more established companies in downtown Orlando, spaces are being filled and overhead costs are minimized.  Through “Entrepreneur Zone” the host business agrees to provide the office space to the smaller business at prices below the market value, or even for free in exchange for goods or services.

The potential for smaller businesses to gain exposure through bigger firms is very high, and can cut expenses for each party.

One such case is a web designer who is trading website maintenance for a company in exchange for office space within their facility.  Mayor Buddy Dyer believes this can attract new jobs and financial growth to downtown Orlando

This program is headed by a realty firm that has a good idea of just how much vacant space there is in offices downtown.  Orlando’s economic development sector will provide marketing, support and financial incentives, including the possibility of grants.

In close proximity to the location of what will be a downtown Orlando station for the high-speed railway of central Florida, The VUE at Lake Eola provides tenants to live right in the middle of downtown Orlando in a 36-story, 375-unit luxury condo high rise

Walking distance from a number of venues, restaurants, bars and more, this luxury urban living destination verlooks Lake Eola and the surrounding Eola Park.
