About 200 soon-to-be brides and grooms have registered for a new event, the “I Do Downtown Bridal Crawl”, happening this Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Downtown Orlando.
A number of venues are on the bill to showcase their venue — food, beverages, decor — so potential brides and grooms may envision and experience what it would be like to host their wedding reception at any of these places.
Beginning at the Orange County Regional History Center (65 E. Central Blvd in downtown Orlando), brides and grooms may purchase their tickets, $10 per person or $15 per couple. A map of participating locations will be handed out, and free limo bus transportation is available, but the ladies and gentlemen may take their time and check out each location and fares at their own leisure.
Stops along the way include Ballroom at Church Street, Ceviche Tapas Bar and Restaurant, Citrus Club, City Arts Factory, Embassy Suites Hotel, Global Gallery, Grand Bohemian Hotel and Wall Street Plaza.
Each location will be decorated as if an actual wedding were booked for the day. Samples of food and beverages the locations offer are available, and DJs, florists, photographers and a number of wedding-related vendors will be on site throughout each venue.
At each location, couples will find tables or rooms decorated as they might be for a wedding; sample food and beverages; and meet photographers, disc jockeys, florists and other wedding vendors.
For grooms who aren’t interested in the crawl, they may stop by Wall Street Plaza, where an area for grooms is set aside with snacks and football games on screen. However, considering the delicious fare and beverage samples available at each stop, we’ll be surprised if any groom leaves his bride behind on such a tour!
